SineZone® – 4K Sinusoidal chart

Besides showing resolution, SineZone also serves as a visual tool, allowing user to identify chroma moire. This useful chart also identifies aliasing, which shows as circles within the pattern. Limiting resolution can be measured by calculating linear distance from center of chart along a radius to the point at which detail has lost enough contrast to be no longer visible.
Warning: This chart has been designed to be very hard for any camera to reproduce accurately.

The Wringer

  • Used to examine chrominance resolution
  • Segmented zone plates reveal diagonal resolution and aliasing artifacts
  • Each zone plate is divided into four quadrants, containing vertical, horizontal and diagonal components

This chart is designed for examining chrominance resolution. The Wringer reveals diagonal resolution and aliasing artefacts that are not typically seen using vertical and horizontal wedges. Since diagonal distortions are likely to be mirrored in both scanned dimensions, and to conserve space, . The 18 zone plate quadrants have spatial frequency sweeps from 200 to 1000 TV LPPH  – framing to half the chart’s width yields 100 to 500 TV LPPH
